Part 2: Davao, Da WOW! Pearl Farm Beach Resort

Pearl Farm Beach Resort took my heart, and it doesn't want to give it back :)

Nestled on the quiet side of Samal Island, Pearl Farm Beach Resort is a mere 45 minute boat ride from the Davao Marina Warf. Regular boat transfer schedules are as follows:

Davao Marina Warf to Pearl Farm: 8:00am, 1:30pm, 4:00pm and 6:00pm.
Pearl Farm to Davao Marina Warf: 6:45am, 10:00am, 1:00pm and 4:00pm.

The Pearl Farm Beach Resort, a world class beach resort, beckons with a promise of a relaxing private retreat where guests can revel in tropical pleasures and feast on nature's bounties.

Guests are welcomed at the Pearl Farm Beach Resort Parola Bar, once a lighthouse lookout post, where welcome drinks are served--perfect for the serene ambience and magnificent view.

The resort boasts of the infinity pool located in front of the Maranao restaurant and Ylang Ylang Spa.

Airconditioned rooms are housed in 19 Samal houses and 6 Samal Suites. Each room was individually designed, and decorated with fine arts and crafts of the tribal people of Mindanao. We are lucky enough to stay in one of six Samal Suite, a two-storey Muslim inspired suite that's perfect for couples or even families on break since it allows a minimum of 6 guests each. It had a king sized bed on the second floor, and a lounge area on the lower level.

Just a few steps from Parola Bar is the Maranao Restaurant where buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner are served, usually inclusive of the room rates quoted. You can enjoy the view of the infinity pool from here. I will definitely be back!

After a very sporty and fun teambuilding day, we capped the night with our team's fire dancers, coupled by a 10-minute awesome fireworks to behold. Pearl Farm Beach Resort is indeed a place that would offer an incredible relaxing experience, not to mention their A++ customer service.

You can't head home from Davao without the famous and very yummy Camiguin's Yema Pastel. It kicks Krispy Kreme's a**, hands down. A box of 6 is about P45.00 with a life span of 5-6 days. Pomelo and Durian, pasalubong that you wouldn't dare to miss as well, are being sold almost everywhere in Davao City proper. Don't forget to haggle!
