Part 1: Davao, Da WOW! Marco Polo Hotel

Company Kickoff for the year 2011 was held at Davao City, lucky me!
I've heard a lot of good words about Davao, one of which is that it has been ranked second Cleanest and Greenest City in the Philippines, that's why I was really stoked to get my feet into this city already.

Our first night was spent at Marco Polo Hotel. One of the things that you'll definitely notice in Davao, aside from its cleanliness and no-smoking-anywhere rule, is that you can count in one hand the number of tall buildings in the area--and at 18 floors, Marco Polo is already Davao city's tallest building. It is located in the heart of the city, just in front of Ateneo de Davao and is 3 minutes away from Gaisano Mall.

Marco Polo is just a 20-minute drive from Davao International Airport. Marco Polo has a shuttle to and from the airport which costs PHP 130 per passenger per ride. It has a very convenient location since it's nestled at the center of the city--minutes away from Gaisano mall and just walking distance to its famous souvenir shop, Aldevinco.

Deluxe Room

The average room rate per night for their Deluxe room is PHP 3,800, which comes with a buffet breakfast for two.
